    ARCO/Murray is eager to expand our in-house engineering capabilities with a Structural Engineer opportunity. This is a very unique opportunity to integrate the structural design practice directly into a construction environment. The Structural Engineer will benefit from having dozens of construction professionals in office with the ability to provide real-time feedback on the cost effectiveness and constructability of their designs. The Structural Engineer will also be highly engaged in long term strategic corporate initiatives related to marketplace differentiation, product offerings, and specializations.

    • Design, model, detail, and coordinate the structural elements of buildings. This includes potentially acting as the structural engineer of record for some projects as well as auditing designs performed by 3rd party structural engineers for efficiency and constructability.
    • Proficiency in Structural Fabrication and Revit Modeling and Coordination for structural steel, light gauge framing, reinforcing steel, cast in place concrete, and masonry. Integrate structural detailing into the design phase of projects is the primary focus.
    • Provide specialized project support including but not limited to the following: selection of construction equipment, determining construction sequencing, estimating manpower, development of lift plans and rigging, engineering checks for crane capacity, investigation of soil conditions to support equipment and optimization of crane locations.
    • Facilitate and advance company procurement initiatives including direct purchase, prefabrication, and self-performing of structural elements.
    • Knowledge of Tekla or other fabrication modeling software is a plus.


    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • 0-5 years of Structural Design experience
    • Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering (Graduate degree in Structural Engineering preferred)
    • Minimum 3.2 GPA
