    ARCO Design/ Build in Atlanta has a unique opportunity for a highly motivated Structural Engineer interested in being the Structural Expert for an established general contractor where there is significant and unlimited future growth opportunity.     • Manage the Structural Engineering department
    • Communication with our internal and external teammates and clients
    • Prepare preliminary designs for our design/ build proposals
    • Review building codes to assure correct implementation of preparation and design
    • Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
    • Product structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents for permit submittal as well as construction
    • Review and coordinate construction documents content with all disciplines to assure complete and accurate agreement
    • Review shop drawings to confirm compliance with the design drawings and project intent


    • BS in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with experience related to the construction industry
    • 10-15 years of experience
    • Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, wood, and understanding of foundation design
    • Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as Revit, Autocad, RAM, Tekla, and Bentley
    • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
