    • Communication with technical drafting staff, clients and other outside project team members
    • Prepare preliminary designs for clients
    • Review building codes to assure correct implementation of preparation and design
    • Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
    • Product structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents for permit submittal as well as construction
    • Review and coordinate construction documents content with all disciplines to assure complete and accurate agreement


    • BS in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with experience related to the construction industry
    • 5-10 years of experience
    • Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, wood, and understanding of foundation design
    • Ability to understand construction drawings
    • Ability to edit specification section to fit project scope
    • Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, STAAD, RISA, or another recognized 3D design package
    • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
