    ARCO/Murray National is currently seeking a creative and entrepreneurial Senior/Lead Interior Designer to join our team based in Chicago. This role will work closely with our internal arhitectural design team and interface with our with Principals and Project Managers on a day-to-day basis.  The Interior Designer will have regular opportunities to meet and work with external clients to help guarantee that the ARCO/Murray team understands and can execute their vision for a given project, and an ideal candidate will possess corporate interiors or workplace interior design experience.

    • Involved in all aspects of project planning and interior design from concept development through design documentation and construction administration
    • Meet and work directly with client(s) to develop vision/branding package and to establish aesthetic direction and interior design concept for the project(s)
    • Coordinate with construction project managers and other design disciplines to prepare working drawings, designs, plans, models, and schemes that communicate design intent 
    • Prepare presentation drawings and or 3D renderings in AutoCAD/Revit for client review as required
    • Maintain an updated material library and meet with product manufacturer’s representatives
    • Estimate material requirements and costs and present design to client for approval
    • Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout, utilization of furnishings or equipment, and color and material coordination
    • Consider materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiated project fees


    • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
    • 5-7 years' experience designing corporate interiors or workplace projects
    • Business development experience related to interior design services preferred
    • Autocad and Revit experience required
    • Ability to develop presentation drawings required - 3D modeling / rendering preferred
    • Skilled in designing interior alterations, renovations, and new layouts
    • Technical architectural and interior design knowledge required
    • Knowledge of innovative materials used for interior design
