    ARCO/Murray National is currently seeking a highly-motivated Land Development Engineer that is passionate about making sure our clients' projects start off on the right foot. This person will play a key role in our design/build process by performing site due diligence, design and drafting land development concept plans, and guiding our clients through the first steps toward in bringing their building to life.

    • Research and collect site specific information to initiate the land development process and perform site investigative due diligence
    • Design and draft land development concept plans in AutoCAD for multifamily residential, commercial and industrial uses
    • Produce colored renderings of land plans
    • Determine ability of various vehicle types to navigate a proposed route using Autodesk Vechical Tracking
    • Prepare schematic site plan, grading & utility plans to illustrate site developability based on learned constraints
    • Perform storm water detention analysis, site utility design, earth work analysis, photometric analysis to best inform site planning effort for cost and constructability
    • Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project with Design/Build contracting team


    • BS in Civil Engineering or other Engineering or Design discipline
    • 3-6 years of engineering and land planning experience
    • AutoCad and Civil 3D (or similar site work program) 
    • Experience creating AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and styles is a plus
    • Experience using SITEOPS and Rhino is a plus
    • Experience performing earthwork calculations and quantifying site utility spoils is a plus
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required. ARCO/Murray will support the pursuit of licensure for EIT and offer a $5k bonus for successful competition of PE license
