    ARCO is a premier, full service design/build general contractor with more than 25 years of experience providing clients with complete project delivery throughout the United States. We are searching for a highly motivated HR Intern to join our team. 

     

    The HR Intern will work directly with the human resources and HR marketing department to assist with projects, communication, and process improvement.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the recruiting team with updates in applicant tracking system and other recruiting tools
    • Assist with college recruiting efforts and various recruiting projects
    • Assist benefits and payroll department with precise tracking mechanisms, process improvements, and monitoring for accuracy
    • Assist with the creation, communication, and editing of HR marketing materials
    • Assist with implementation of digital HR marketing strategies
    • Assist with scanning, uploading, and filing important and confidential documents into the HRIS system
    • Help schedule and coordinate trainings and meetings for human resources department
    • Other projects and duties as needed and assigned

    Qualifications

    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Human Resources or Business Administration
    • Must have proven experience in building relationships, and making a positive impact
    • Must possess effective judgment in decision-making
    • Must be a self-starter who can work independently, and in collaboration to achieve goals
    • Must have excellent strategic and conceptual thinking skills
    • Must have ability to influence others
    • Must be detail oriented
    • Must have strong communication, consulting and facilitation skills
    • Must have ability to organize and express ideas clearly
    • Must have ability to set and manage priorities
    • Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Solid program management skills including project planning, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track and deadlines met, and ensuring reliable results and desired outcomes

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

     

    This job operated in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

     

    • Communicate effectively and take instructions
    • Sit or stand at computer terminal or desk
    • Have ability to walk, kneel, use of hands, climb stairs, have full range of motion, occasionally lift office products up to 20 lbs
    • Be willing to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
    • Work at a fast pace, while multi-tasking at times
    • Deal with interpersonal conflicts
    • Travel as needed
