This opportunity combines hands on design, client engagement, system implementation and is a subject matter expert for the electrical discipline within ARCO.


    • Assist in business development activities and preliminary electrical designs in pursuit of design/build projects with a specific focus on data center and/or mission critical projects
    • Responsible for design and specifications of power and control systems, system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, performing calculations of lighting systems, and associated controls for assigned projects
    • Work with project teams in purchasing building electrical systems and components directly (light fixtures, electrical gears, electrical equipment, fire alarm systems)
    • Review MEP systems designed by others and work with code officials and contractors to ensure compliance w/ local standards/guidelines
    • Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors on technical issues
    • Assist in development of electrical pre-fabrication efforts
    • Review shop drawings and other vendor documentation for conformity with specifications
    • Participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management
    • Provide electrical design direction and resource management on multi-discipline projects


    • Preferred experience working for a design/build electrical contractor
    • BS in Electrical Engineering; with minimum of 3.2 GPA
    • Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred; ARCO/Murray will support the pursuit of licensure
    • 5-10 years of experience
    • BIM experience preferred
    • Able to make decisions under tight deadlines
    • Able to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
