    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a System Administrator. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day infrastructure health for local and remote sites as well as providing 2nd and 3rd level support for all network related issues or outages. This position is also responsible for the troubleshooting, and if required vendor escalation, to achieve resolution as well as providing a root cause analysis. The successful candidate will also ensure the smooth operation of the network infrastructure to provide maximum performance and availability.

    Responsibilities

    • Review of current infrastructure and make recommendations for optimization; where applicable.
    • Deploy new virtual and physical servers.
    • Install enterprise software application systems
    • Deploy, configure and manage enterprise wireless network
    • Act as the lead engineer in implementations, integrations, escalations, respond to disruptive services, network and hardware vendor selections, and project management to ensure all teams are working together cohesively.
    • Research and recommendation of new solutions to optimize network performance, health, and reliability where the business case justifies a change.
    • Work closely with other departments to assure that network health, speed, and performance is appropriately planned for and performing well to ensure efficiency.
    • Provides support and project management for project implementation and equipment installations.
    • Monitors systems alerts, performance and utilization reporting.
    • Coordination of network changes in conjunction with change management policies.
    • Will oversee scheduled maintenance, planning, and upgrades to the organization’s local and remote network infrastructures.
    • Oversee all technical documentation created for network implementation as well as the network operations for any tasks performed.
    • Troubleshoot escalated desktop support issues
    • Prioritize issue resolution and schedule 3rd party vendor support

    Qualifications

    • To qualify you must have a BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
    • 7+years of relevant experience in complex organizations.
    • Certification: MCSA
    • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Ability to define day-to-day support, maintenance, troubleshooting knowledgebase of the infrastructure.
    • Windows Server installation and deployment
    • VMWare virtualization administration experience
    • Data backup and disaster recovery knowledge
    • Network architecture design capabilities
    • Network traffic optimization experience
    • Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook experience
    • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytic skills to isolate problems, recommend solutions and implementation of solutions.
    • Excellent people skills with ability to handle difficult personnel situations.
    • Excellent computer skills necessary in Word, Excel, Presentation, Project and Visio.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
