    ARCO/Murray is looking for a highly motivated construction Project Developer with 3-10 years of design/build experience.  The Project Developer has the overall responsibility for project performance and customer satisfaction, taking it from concept to completion.  Each Project Developer has full profit and performance responsibility for his/her projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the procurement of all necessary entitlements and permits for clients on multiple projects on accelerated time frames
    • Effectively communicate with clients/owners schedule, budget, and action items to facilitate projects
    • Be the single point of contact for the client during the preconstruction process and represent the development team to all external parties
    • Act as an advisor to clients on site layout, building design and entitlement path to best fit their timing and cost needs.
    • Coordinate with real estate attorneys, land owners, and development partners
    • Travel (primarily day trips) to visit prospective sites across the US, conduct visual inspection, and meet with local authorities to gather information and develop a preconstruction plan for a project
    • Create and manage schedules
    • Prepare and maintain preliminary cost estimates
    • Research and develop design alternatives and value engineering solutions and provide client with associated cost estimates
    • Prepare documents for regulatory agencies to obtain required permits.
    • Manage the civil design including conceptual site plans and preliminary engineering documents through construction documents
    • Oversee the preparation of engineering studies and report conclusions to design and construction team
    • Prepare engineering cost estimates
    • Opportunity for business development, cultivating and maintaining client relationships, implement marketing initiatives, proposal production, and public presentations

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning or Real Estate
    • 3 – 10 years of preconstruction or land development experience
    • Experience should demonstrate successful project delivery including schedule and budget management
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred but not required), ARCO/Murray will support the pursuit of licensure for EIT
    • AutoCad and Civil 3D (or similar site work program) preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Project and Excel
