    ARCO Design/Build is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate must be experienced managing and building new client relationships, and, expanding market opportunities across the United States with an emphasis on the Southeast. A candidate should have a proven sales track record in the construction industry, an abilty to build trust with customers and colleagues and maintain momentum and enthusiasm toward the close of pursuit.

    In this role, the Business Development Manager will work closely with the team to build new client relationships and expand market opportunities across the United States with an emphasis on the Southeast. The Manager will be an integral member of the ARCO Design/Build team and will have responsibility for managing and driving our sales efforts within the strategic markets we have defined, and, the future niche markets where you may lead us.

    Qualifications

    If you…

    • Want to work for one of the fastest growing, dynamic and respected design/build companies in the USA;
    • Can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of successful business development experience in design, construction or large-scale, complex technical sales environments;
    • Are an expert at building rapport, managing internal and external relationships, and work effectively across functions;
    • Build trust with customers and colleagues;
    • Can chart a course and determine what needs to be done, and to maintain momentum and enthusiasm toward the close of pursuits;
    • Are an individual who possesses a sense of urgency, a high energy level, and strong organizational skills.

     Here are some qualifications that we think are important:

    • Bachelor’s degree required – Engineering, Design or Construction Management is an advantage
    • Business knowledge of the A/E/C Market considered a plus.
    • Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations.
    • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Outstanding presentation and relationship building skills.
    • Ability to travel 50% of the time throughout the United States with a heavy emphasis on the Southeast.
    • Live in, or willing to relocate to the Atlanta area.
