Overview

ARCO Design/Build Northeast has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Project Manager with 3-5 years of estimating and project management experience in the field of pharmaceutical distribution, filling, packaging, and light manufacturing   The project manager has the overall responsibility for managing the design and construction of individual projects. This person will also interact with the clients and provide necessary support to the project field staff on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • PM is responsible for all managerial and administrative aspects of a project.  This shall include estimating, scheduling, progress measurement, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost studies, safety, and proposal preparation.
  • PM will work with clients early in process to facilitate the design process.  Will prepare all necessary working drawings.
  • PM will ensure that accurate and complete estimates of project are prepared. Will work with clients to develop preliminary design & project scope.
  • PM will attend proposal meetings with owner to discuss scope of work, answer questions, discuss ways to reduce costs, and ask for the job.
  • PM will be responsible for keeping jobsite foreman & general superintendent informed of all aspects to the job.
  • PM will work with jobsite foreman & general superintendent to ensure safety on the jobsite, including job walks and safety meeting and will enforce and monitor the adherence of the company safety program.
  • PM will be responsible for managing client relationships to acquire new projects.

Qualifications

 

  • BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering or related field; with minimum of 3.0 GPA.
  • 3-5 years of estimating/project management experience.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical life sciences industry including pharmaceutical distribution, filling, packaging, or light manufacturing
  • Ability to effectively make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
  • Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes. Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external customer expectations.
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
