The Technology Architect will be dedicated to software/app creation and implementation to serve the Operational needs of the business.  The ideal person will have an innovative spirit and enjoy research, brainstorming, and owning a solution from concept to implementation. 


The ARCO Technology team has created and/or implemented these apps in the last year:

  • ARCLOUD Project Map
  • Cost Database App
  • ARCLOUD Custom CMS Intranet for Construction
  • Cost Calculator App
  • Next-Gen PM system (Kahua)


  • Primary responsibilities include App/Software Creation/Selection/Customization.
  • In addition, work closely with the CTO, Operations and Leadership to understand business challenges or opportunities, and create apps that address the challenge or opportunity. 
  • Work with third party development partners to create and customize apps/software.
  • Lead the transition of new apps from initial implementation to ongoing support.
  • Test apps prior to deployment, correct bugs, and track software defects and resolutions (using tool:  Meistertask).
  • Design, create, and test Kahua, Crystal and SSRS reports for needed apps.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant software implementation and support experience
  • Must have a general knowledge of business operations, construction experience considered a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL and database structure required
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, reasoning and research abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service
  • Some travel required, both local to Chicago and regional
